SM Sung Siew's Coral Reef Adoption

This site is especially dedicated to our beloved coral reef, SS Reef,
that we adopted last 14th October 2006.
Not only that we are proud to be the first local school to have made such a move
but we are also proud to have contributed to the adoption scheme programme that is run
by SIMCA (Sugud Islands Marine Conservation Area) Reef Guardian, which
brings big meaning to coral reef.
Our contribution may be small compared to many conservationists' works
but we hope it would be a set of example to many local schools and school communities
to play the same role in helping and conserve our marine life and
of course saving our beautiful coral reefs.


We want to thank Maxis CyberlinQ 2006
for if not for them, we would not have started this 'Are you greedy?' project and
set up a team named 'Green or Been'. It is all started from the very first
step to this. Through this project, both the teachers and students
see a different view of what is happening with our
environment. And sadly, it is all our own's makings. Thus, we hope
for the future generation that will take charge one day,
our school community - SM Sung Siew
will lead differently and take actions to help along.


We also would like to show our deep gratitude to SIMCA, Reef Guardian
especially Mr. Kenneth Chung, the managing director of Lankayan Island Dive Resort,
for if not them, we won't have understand what's truly going out there.
Thank you for sharing with us the vision of your work.

Lastly, thank you to all SM Sung Siew's community
that had contributed RM216.20 of donations
that had made the adoption possible.
Also, to Ms. Arianna A. Bartollini that had helped to
sponsor and donate RM600.00 to the success of this adoption.
